diCam ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

diCam is a smart camera and creative editing tool. To provide its core features, the App requires access to specific information and hardware on your device. All data is processed locally, ensuring your information stays private.

• A. Camera and Microphone Access: The App requires access to your device's camera to capture photos and record video. It also requires access to your microphone to capture audio during video recording. All media is processed locally on your device to add filters, effects, and data overlays. You may choose to mute the microphone at any time via the in-app toggle.
• B. Location Information: The App requests access to your device’s precise (GPS) and approximate location. This data is used solely to "burn" (embed) address and coordinate information directly onto the photos and videos you capture. We do not store your location history, track your movements, or share your real-time location with any third-party servers.
• C. Media and Storage: The App requires access to your device's storage/media gallery to save your processed creations and to allow you to select, filter, and edit existing photos or videos from your gallery.
• D. Device Sensors: The App uses your device's orientation and motion sensors. This data is used strictly to handle interface behaviors, such as automatically rotating icons and layout menus to match how you hold your phone. Sensor data is processed entirely in real time and is never saved, tracked, or collected.
• E. User-Generated Text and Custom Branding: The App allows you to input custom text, descriptions, and emojis into your photo footers or custom watermarks. If you choose to enable the layout memory features, this text is stored locally on your device to pre-fill future captures for your convenience. This data never leaves your device.

2. Data Processing, Storage, and Deletion

• Local Processing: All image and video manipulation—including the addition of color filters, creative effects, text footers, location stamps, and video encoding—happens strictly on your local device hardware.
• No Cloud Storage: We do not operate any servers that collect, store, or transmit your photos, videos, or personal data. Your media stays on your device unless you manually choose to share it using other applications.
• Data Deletion: Because all user data, custom filter settings, and generated media are stored exclusively on your local device storage, completely uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data via system settings will instantly and permanently delete all your data.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services which may collect information used to identify you:

• Google Play Services: Used for location mapping and resolving coordinates into physical addresses. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for more details.

4. Permissions Summary

• CAMERA: To capture high-quality photos and video.
• RECORD_AUDIO: To capture audio for video records (can be muted by the user at any time).
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: To provide precise address and location stamps for your media.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To save, export, and manage your media files smoothly.

5. Children’s Privacy

This App is intended for general use. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the effective date within the App's settings.
